SUN LIFE PIONEERED LIFE INSURANCE in the Philippines. However, building the brand has been a long journey.

To promote brand trust, Sun Life launched and has sustained twin advocacy programs over the years: financial literacy and health and wellness. While helping Filipino consumers recognize the need for life insurance and investments, these programs also increased brand awareness from 31% to 75%.

Last year, Sun Life leveraged both its digital platforms and in-person activities in its financial literacy efforts. Online, it collaborated with top podcasters to bring its financial literacy efforts to Spotify, while also launching promos on TikTok and organizing the biggest financial conference of the year.

Meanwhile, face-to-face activities included exclusive client events as well as a holiday concert for the public. To top this all off, Sun Life opened more New Business Offices – bringing the total to 88, entered into more strategic partnerships, launched new products and fulfilled its commitment by paying billions in death and living benefits.

This year, Sun Life celebrates its 128th anniversary, as well as its 12th year of being the No.1 life insurance company in the Philippines, in terms of total premium.
