THIS YEAR AIA is celebrating 100 years of providing protection and security to generations of families in Asia. As a leader in its field, committed to putting customers and their families at the heart of everything it does, AIA Singapore goes beyond that of a traditional life insurer. It focuses on constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation to provide service excellence and safeguarding the financial security of its customers.
In addition to providing up to 200 per cent coverage for 43 major stage CIs, AIA BCC is also the first-in-market to cover five re-diagnosed or recurred CIs. These are Rediagnosed Major Cancer, Recurred Heart Attack, Recurred Stroke, Repeated Heart Valve Surgery and Repeated Major Organ/Bone Marrow Transplantation. AIA
AIA is the only insurer that covers both major-stage CI and rediagnosed or recurred CI in one plan.
The AIA Critical Illness Study 2018 findings1 revealed that approximately seven in ten Singaporeans find recurring CI coverage important.
AIA BCC is also the first plan to provide coverage of mental health conditions – including Major Depressive Disorders (MDD), Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Tourette Syndrome. Coverage for mental conditions is up to the age of 75, except for Tourette Syndrome, with coverage to age 21.
The aim of AIA BCC is to fill the gaps in protection, providing comprehensive coverage for previously unprotected areas and supporting the insured through their life journey. Its intention is to ensure that this plan is accessible so that more Singaporeans can get adequate CI coverage and support to get through the challenges of being diagnosed with serious conditions. That’s why this policy also provides a 100 per cent premium refund at the end of the policy term2 for policyholders who remain healthy.
AIA Singapore helps policyholders prevent the onset of CI conditions, where possible, with health screening as well as the award-winning AIA Vitality – its comprehensive health and wellness programme that rewards customers for getting active and making healthy choices.
To AIA, celebrating 100 years in Asia is not just another milestone – but the start of a new journey.
Moving into the next 100 years, it plans to work on solutions that are more rewarding and assuring for Singaporeans and their families, and more nurturing for future generations.
To kick off this journey, AIA Singapore has lined up a yearlong calendar of marque events and initiatives to thank its customers and staff and give back to the community. These activities include the AIA Glow Festival – its key centennial celebration event, AIA Family Fest, as well as 100 exclusive birthday perks for customers, some of which can be redeemed all year round! Come along and find out what AIA is doing to encourage Singaporeans to live “healthier, longer, better lives” this year and beyond.
