EVERY PARENT WANTS THE BEST START FOR THEIR CHILD, and KEMAS Early Childhood Education goes to great lengths to provide it. TABIKA KEMAS’ digital transformation plan (for children between four and six years old) ensures that there will be plenty of digital talent among teachers so that children can reap the benefits in line with the MyDigital initiative.
In 2022, KEMAS provided training to some 1000 teachers to improve their digital competency. Among the courses were:
1. Scratch Jr App Course;
2. Creative Multimedia in Education;
3. E-book publication; and
4. Computational Thinking Course.
That same year, three teachers from TABIKA and TASKA KEMAS were listed among the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation’s (MDEC) Top 5 Digital Champion Teachers in the Preschool Category.
By 2025, KEMAS aims to have provided digital technology training to 50 per cent of teachers at TABIKA and TASKA KEMAS early childhood education learning centres.
To help enable the digital revolution, last year KEMAS provided high-speed internet network access to selected TABIKA KEMAS centres as part of its efforts to provide a digital education environment for TABIKA KEMAS students, especially in rural areas.
This year, KEMAS is further expanding internet access and ICT equipment to schools, in addition to focusing on digital content, with the Modul iBELAJAR and the development of the Portal PAK.
