ACER LOOKS FORWARD TO A GREENER FUTURE AS IT MARKS 20 YEARS IN THE PHILIPPINES.

THIS YEAR, Acer is celebrating its 20th anniversary with notable milestones, including being No. 1 in the consumer notebook category for the 16th straight year. Equally important to the company is the success of its sustainability eff orts and the commercial acceptance of its first Green PC, the Acer Vero.

For 2022, Acer topped the consumer notebooks category with a 35.2% market share, according to a third-party global market research fi rm. Acer was also No.1 in the gaming notebook category with a 40.4% market share.

Key drivers to Acer’s success are its multiple product offerings with the best value-for-money proposition, partnering with socially relevant ambassadors that help get the brand’s messages across to consumers, and an interactive approach to engaging consumers on sustainability.

For instance, for the Green Mark concert, Acer Philippines gave away free tickets to those who did good deeds for the planet. The brand also launched the interactive #MakeYourGreenMark 21-Day Challenge, which enjoined the public to reduce, reuse and recycle for the good of the planet.

“They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, so Acer came up with this challenge in the hope that it will change everyone’s habits. With campaigns like this, Acer hopes to gain more support for environmental efforts and remind everyone of their duty to care for our planet,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Acer Philippines General Manager.
