DRIVING POSITIVE CHANGE THROUGH EDUCATION

A purpose-driven university, Taylor’s University’s leading position in the Asian region remains strong as it continues rolling out its Learning 2030 initiative. As the top private university in Southeast Asia*, Taylor’s University balances education with the impact it brings to our world. In their learning journeys, students will not only be instilled with knowledge, but also with the passion and drive to use that knowledge to enact change in our communities.

To be the best university not just in the world, but also for the world, Taylor’s University launched Impact Labs. In just one year, the initiative integrated more than 100 Impact Projects into its curriculum. More than 4000 students are actively engaged with the project. Overall, the university, together with students and staff, impacted over 3000 individuals and 43 organisations from 13 diverse communities.

“Taylor’s has moved beyond the classrooms by involving students in a learning process in which they actively contribute back to society during their journey in education,” said Professor Barry Winn, Vice-Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University. “This new generation of learners are purpose-driven, socially aware and incredibly passionate about how their education influences the world around them.

To this end, the Impact Labs is the perfect channel through which our students can engage, contribute and create lasting change towards social and environmental issues in our world today.”
